Staff Training

Our support staff are soon to benefit from the group-wide training programmes offered by Radian Group Ltd.

For example we will have an ongoing, organisation-wide development programme that focuses on leadership skills, empowering people to make informed decisions, and an unwavering commitment to customer service.

We also have a range of programmes which cater for the needs of Turnstone workers at all levels, from front line support staff through to our Service managers.

An important focus for us is on the practically-based National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), and exceeding 50 per cent targets for ensuring our staff are NVQ qualified.

A big challenge for Turnstone is the increasing geographical spread of our staff. For most of them their place of work is in the homes of the poeple they are supporting, and they only come into one of our offices for meetings and training. In the future it is likely we will use innovative training methods, such as e-learning, to accommodate this spread.
